Dayton's Swimming Lessons

Dayton just finished his first swimming lessons last week.  We had so much fun! They taught him to plow bubbles in the water, we did humpy dumpy sat on the wall, ring around the rosies and fun things like that for little kids.

Dayton has a silly face going on here!

This was the class we were in.  It was a mom and tot class and Dayton did really well considering it was right before his nap time.  He loves water!

Long Long over due update....

I know I have been told many times that we need to update.  The farther I got behind the harder its been for me to catch up so here we go.  In November Blaine and I had the a good feeling that he was supposed to quite his job.  He did and then 2 weeks later we ended up in Wamsutter Wyoming where Blaine worked in the oil fields.  Wamsutter is 1 hour and 10 minutes West from Rock Springs and to the East 45 minutes to Rawlins.  I thought Holbrook was in the middle of no where...nope Wamsutter is!  We were there the first week of December until the last week in May.  Dayton and I were lucky enough to go and live there with Blaine the entire time.  Blaine's Dad and brother Lance also worked in the oil fields and we all lived in the trailer together.  It was a fun time while it lasted and we were able to develop relationships with family that already lives there and make some new friends.  And it has added to our experience in life.  (Well I guess this would be our 2nd time to Wamsutter.  Blaine and I went 2 months after we were married and we were able to come home in march.  This time we added our little Dayton to experience (a 5 hour drive) and we were only able to make it home to visit about once a month).  Dorthy is absolutely right...there's NO place like HOME!!

This pretty much sums up the last 8 months of our lives.....

We put up our tree then we went to Wyoming.

Dayton's First Christmas.

I just love this picture he has lotion on his nose.

This is what the Wyoming house looked like.
It was home away from home.

"Cheese"

I put him in the basket.  This is in the Wyoming house.

Happy 1st Birthday Dayton!

Opening presents

So Big!

Cake a couple mornings after his Birthday....for breakfast!
We spoiled him the entire week, actually all the time but a birthday is special!

He didn't know what to do with the cake at first.  He finally tasted it.
And made a mess like your supposed to do with cake.

He is tall enough to climb on by him self.
(12 months)

Dayton loves to "help" mom with laundry!
I give him the socks to he will leave the folded things alone.

At the end of January Blaine had a job in Cheyenne so Dayton and I drove from Wamsutter to Cheyenne(about 3 hours) for the weekend to visit Blaine. We got a hotel and went swimming.

Dayton LOVES water!

At the mall in Cheyenne.
We didn't even have to put the quarters in and he still loves the car ride!

We were home for a weekend and I found the little character in the cupboard.

Playing in the cupboards in Wyoming.
Not much else to do that is for sure.

Mandy and the kids came to Wamsutter in February.

Emma and Dayton giving good bye hugs.  I love this Picture!!

Dayton found my apron in one of the cupboards and I found him like this...
He actually put it on the right way.

Helping mom clean....

So messy

I love to see him asleep, it is so peaceful!

Yes we have a climber before he can even walk well.
This is at the beginning of April.
He started trying to walk at the end of March and could walk pretty good in
April and by May we were no longer walking just running!

Visiting in Rexburg for conference. I love bath tub pictures!

Dayton and I drove to Wyoming alone the next week to meet up with Blaine.
He had to get back to work and rode with Lance.

Found something new to do in Wyoming.

Home for Easter.  We went to the Easter egg hunt at the church.

It was freezing cold, not much different from Wyoming!!
In fact when we left Wyoming in late May it was still snowing on and off!

 Easter Morning!

Egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Bird's house.

Finding eggs

I called for Dayton one day and I couldn't find him and I knew he was close because he didn't ever leave the room and then he appeared from out of the cupboard!  He even opened and closed the cupboard door by himself.  I giggled and had to capture the moment.

This is how we all felt by the time our Wyoming adventures were over!
